Some setbacks, some changes in direction. It’s important to realize I’ve moved past the pure project phase, and now I need to start thinking more about monetization and funding… It’s pretty nerve-wracking, to be honest, but I’m going to have to deal with it.
Since I haven’t really got many ideas for the plant game, I started to work on something else instead, which I’ll elaborate on later.
What projects did I work on?
What did I accomplish?
I finally got Sanctum published, and I did draft chapter 4 of Victim of Circumstance, but I had to scrap a lot of it. I ended up tweaking earlier chapters to fix Okizaki’s characterization (plus some other small changes), and now I’m working on revising chapter 4, seeing what I can salvage and whatnot. I’ve already revised 4.1, and 4.2 doesn’t look like it’ll need major changes.
For the thank-you note generator: right now, I’m using hardcoded templates, but eventually I might incorporate AI? But that’s not a high priority right now, because using AI would be pretty tough, if you want sensible results. Maybe later.
Tangent: I conceptualized a casual game, but I don’t know if I’ll be working on that. Maybe, who knows.
What did I fail to accomplish?
I kind of stopped on the plant game? I mean, I just really don’t have any ideas… But of course if Melissa comes up with something, I’ll be willing to work with her.
What do I hope to accomplish next week?
